sweet potatoes and stuff

i am in the astronomy observatory, writing this, and eating a sweet potato. i went out today and met the family that i will tutor in english. so that's super exciting!! also, got to spend some time with hilary hester, the lady who runs the migrant immigrant education program at etsu. she's super-cool too. and that's also exciting.

this weekend is a big event--the 'ol one-year anniversary. and that's exciting too.

i am just full of exciting things!! =)

big stuff

not really... i just didn't want a title that said that announced right off the bat that i haven't been up to much. well, school... and a new job at the astronomy lab. and david. and catching up with friends and family. yep... that pretty much occupies my time. plans to take on more activities, but nothing firm yet, so no announcements there....

hmm... what else? winter cruise is going on right now. i was really ambitious and signed up to get the climbing club e-mails. in case any of you are interested, they meet at 8 pm on Sundays at Buck's Pizza. Speaking of pizza, ETSU students get free slices at Italian Pizza Pub for the next week... not that i am advertising for them or anything, just thought i would pass along the cool deals in case any of you are strapped for cash =)
